Fixing a Broken Healthcare System
We relaunched the New York State Nurses Association (NYSNA) website, putting our weight behind one of the largest unions and professional associations for frontline healthcare workers.
The moral bankruptcy of profit-driven healthcare is now back at the center of public discourse, uniting Americans in deep — and instructive — ways. Strategies to marshal that momentum are of a premium.
Our strategy:
The power of worker organization in healthcare should be at the center of that conversation. NYSNA continues to be a critical force in protecting nurses’ rights, supporting their quality of life, and driving collective action on all fronts — from hospitals to local and state legislation. This past year, we ensured they had a bold, dynamic, and user friendly web presence to match and support them in their mission.
Our work included:
- Development of a flexible Drupal website that allows the NYSNA team to put together dynamic landing pages for campaigns, program areas, events, education series, and more.
- Integration with Salesforce to pull events, member information, and up-to-date facility information into the site.
- The creation of a member center that delivers content specific to a member’s associated facilities.
- Guiding the client through a complex content audit and migration planning phase to identify pages for automated or manual migration, as well as what needed rewriting, editing, or transformation on the new site.
- Integration with NYSNA’s CRM, with options for embedding forms within Drupal, or linking to external pages with an updated theme to match the new site.
